CHILDREN OF BODOM Planning 10th Anniversary Bash; New Songtitles Revealed

July 6, 2007

According to a posting on the official CHILDREN OF BODOM fan site Scythes Of Bodom, the band will put on a 10th anniversary bash in Helsinki, Finland in November. The group's debut album, "Something Wild", was released in Finland in November 1997.

Commented guitarist Alexi Laiho: "We're planning to arrange a two-night event where we will perform on the first night. Tickets will be sold even though there will be many invited guests. On the second night we'll concentrate on partying more privately, but we might indeed end up on stage, at least for small moments. Anyhow, other bands will perform on the second night. The exact date for the (Helsinki) party has not been decided yet, but we're aiming for November."

In other news, Scythes Of Bodom has revealed three songtitles that are set to appear on the band's forthcoming album: "Tie My Rope" (which was recorded in May for Bam Margera's "Bam Margera Presents…Viva La Bands, Vol. 2" compilation),"Roundtrip 2 Hell And Back" and "Pretty For The Devil". A total of five tracks have been completed thus far and the band plans to enter the studio in October to begin recording the effort for a tentative March 2008 release.
